Bruce Dickinson: “Ed Force One Will Fly Again”
Iron Maiden legend Bruce Dickinson has confirmed that the band’s trademark plane Ed Force One will fly once again, despite Astraeus Airlines – who the Iron Maiden singer worked for – ceasing operations earlier this week.
Most of us know that when he’s not busy fronting one of the greatest bands of all time, Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson like to get stuck into a bit of aviation as an airline pilot, and the singer piloted the final Astraeus Airlines flight before the company was forced to close earlier this week.
Luckily, Bruce is not only attempting to save the airline, but has promised that Ed Force One – the now legendary, customised Boeing 757 that has flown Maiden across the globe on their recent world tours – will definitely be back in action.
“The good news is that Ed Force One will fly again, and we have time to prepare so there should be no problems the next time we need her,” comments the man himself. “In the meantime, I’ll get on with the business of flying until Maiden are out on the road again!”
